Construction Cost Consultant

We provide every aspect of the cost management of projects from inception to financial closure. We play a pivotal role in the delivery of the project and we are keen to work with clients and consultants to achieve the project objectives within the budget allocated.

We understand the need for financial certainty in building developments and throughout our involvement, this is at the forefront of our strategic approach. We also recognise the benefits of taking a long-term view of investment in property by assessing the whole-life cost of a project.

We adopt rigorous risk management techniques in the cost management of our projects. In this way, individual and specific project risks are identified and dealt with as early as possible. We closely monitor the development of design on projects and implement cost/change systems to control costs within the set budget limits.

In summary, we provide the expertise, the systems and the close attention to provide our clients with thorough financial control of their projects.

Project Management and Project Co-ordination

We offer a full project management service for construction projects, including identification and appointment of consultants and contractors, establishing and developing the client's brief and management of the design and construction processes including handover and occupation.

We recognise that clear and effective communication and leadership are key to the success of a project together combined with a thorough understanding of the processes of designing, constructing and occupying a building.

Our approach to project management is to co-ordinate and encourage rather than to impose or dictate, leading to better team co-operation and resulting in much greater success.

Building Surveying

Our building surveying resource offers a wide range of services including contract administration, condition surveys, programmed maintenance scheduling and schedules of dilapidations. For many clients, our building surveying team provides a valuable additional service complementing the financial management skills of our cost consultancy resources

Employer's Agent and Client's Representative

Combining our surveying and project management skills enables us to provide a very effective service as Employer's Agents under design and build forms of contract.

We also provide Client Representative services under the Partnering Form of Contract PPC 2000 and carry out project monitoring on behalf of clients and funders on joint venture schemes.

In all these activities, our priority is to maintain and achieve the client's design aspirations as well as those relating to programme and cost.

CDM Co-ordination

We have provided Planning Supervision services on projects since the introduction of the CDM regulations in 1995. Our experienced staff offer a pragmatic and helpful approach by assisting the design and construction team to comply with all the requirements of the health and safety legislation.
